I can’t tell you how overwhelmed I am by the community support for this event. It makes our goals for next year even larger. Our net proceeds from the Wawasee Navy SEAL Foundation event raised $15,000 and I am happy to say we are still receiving donations.

I am writing today to simply say thank you for your contribution to this worthy cause.  You are supporting the families of true American Heroes who risk their lives daily in service to our nation.

There are a number of people I would like to cite individually for their efforts toward making this event such a success. We appreciate Kay Young of the Wawasee POA for helping us get the letters out to over 2,000 homes in the area.   Our aircraft committee members Jerry Rea and RT Searfoss.  Jerry also let us operate out of his hanger to wait for and watch the tandem jumpers which was a wonderful benefit to those that came and the SEALs. 

Thanks to Nick Kant of Skydive Great Lakes.  They provided the aircraft and tandem packers.  John Rodgers transported the smoke canisters the team used during the jump from San Diego, California to the lake.  Also, J. Scott Avery CPA, with Account for Yourself for accounting for us.  These SEALs like to eat so thank you Sleepy Owl for your generous food donation.

I would also like to thank the Stickle family members and friends who contributed their time and talents with the paperwork, fundraising, meals, donation collection table and boat, website, ads, and everything it took to make this event a success. 

The media gave us great coverage; thanks to The Goshen News and the Mail-Journal.  Channel 22 gave us some nice air time coverage locally and the Fox station in Indianapolis gave us good pre-event coverage.

Our greatest thanks goes to the families of The Elite Frogs jump team who loaned us their warriors for the weekend.  I am hoping next year to find a title sponsor that will allow us to bring them with the guys to participate in this special weekend.

Heartfelt thanks to all.  I know I missed some but love you all for your help.
